HICH

Honors in Community Health (HICH) is an interdisciplinary student-led organization that seeks to provide mental, emotional, physical, and educational resources for communities that lack representation. HICH welcomes both non-Honors and Honors College students to join us. Their program introduces students to the truly interdisciplinary nature of public health by allowing them to explore multiple types of service: community engagement, advocacy, and research. HICH students are split up into multiple public health projects in collaboration with community partners throughout Houston where they will learn about cultural humility, health disparities, and the social determinants of health.
